2010 MSB Georgia Association Annual Conference

Jay Postma, CAMS, President of MSB Compliance Inc. participated as a speaker in the 2010 annual conference of the MSB Georgia Association.

Channeling remembrances of seeing "Annie" in his youth, Mr. Postma presented "It's a Hard Knock Life" to the attendees.  The presentation began with discussion about the elephant in the room - significant fears, uncertainties and doubts (or, FUD) due to the current difficult economic conditions, bank failures in Georgia, and continuing difficulties due to the discontinuance of banking service to MSBs.  Also reviewed and discussed were the BSA requirements pertaining to MSBs, Georgia regulations pertaining to licensees, ways to improve and better maintain banking relationships, and common issues identified during MSB examinations.
