AL ACAMS SAR Conference

John Schmarkey, BSA/AML Compliance Specialist, attended the 2019 Suspicious Activity Report Conference held by the Alabama ACAMS Chapter in coordination with the United States Attorney's Office Northern District of Alabama. The all day seminar covered current BSA issues / trends and looked at recent successes where financial crimes were identified and prosecuted through the effective use of SARs. The event provided useful information to all banking, MSB and other financial institution representatives while strengthening the relationship between the financial services community and law enforcement. During networking breaks John manned a vendor booth, talked with many of the attendees, and passed out some materials and swag.
