Jay Postma, CAMS, President of MSB Compliance Inc. spoke at the September, 2009 session of CBA's Advanced BSA Officer School.

Mr. Postma presented on Money Services Businesses, What Community Banker BSA Officers Need to Know.  Discussion began with an overview of the current difficult economic conditions, ongoing bank closures, regulatory changes and challenges impacting MSBs and community banks, and regulatory expectations for risk management.  Various areas of fear, uncertainty and doubt impacting the marketplace and contributing to ongoing bank discontinuance of MSBs were also discussed.  Also covered were BSA/AML requirements and state regulations applicable to MSBs and means for banks to better manage their MSB relationships.
