Robert S. Pollack, CFE, BSA/AML Compliance Specialist
Rob has over 27 years of experience conducting and supervising complex financial investigations. He served twenty-three years as a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent for IRS Criminal Investigations (CI), and four and a half years as a Senior Special Agent for the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP).
As a CI Special Agent Rob developed subject matter expertise in the areas of money laundering and criminal tax. He has frequently collaborated with federal prosecutors, IRS auditors and law enforcement partners in the investigation and prosecution of financial crimes involving money laundering, tax fraud, identity theft, other financial crimes, organized crime members, drug trafficking organizations (DTOs) and identity theft rings. He coordinated the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) for the CI Southeast Region, managed projects for the CI Atlanta Field Office, supervised field agent groups and represented CI in federal task forces.
As a Senior Special Agent with SIGTARP he investigated waste, fraud and abuse in TARP programs including complex fraud schemes in the banking and mortgage servicing industries as well as program fraud in the Hardest Hit Fund program. He collaborated with law enforcement partners, bank regulators and advised federal prosecutors on TARP related crimes.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts: Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS) and the Association of Former Special Agents (AFSA-IRS). He was formerly a member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI).
